Here are some special awards, superlatives and commendations and a list of the games that deserve them:


EPIC TITLE
A title which takes X0 hours to complete (X being a number above 5), and had a storyline which kept you going throughout:
    • Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
    • Final Fantasy: Whatever(!)
    • Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3) 
    • The Elder Scrolls - Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim (PC/PS3/Xbox360)
VISUAL BLISS
A title which makes the most of the hardware available to deliver a superb graphical experience, and also will look awesome retrospectively:
    • Zelda: Link to the Past (SNES)
    • Shadow of the Collosus (PS2)
    • Black (PS2)
    • Flower (PSN)
VIRTUALLY REAL
A title which offers more of a real-life gaming environment/mechanic:
    • Anno 1404 (PC)
    • Heavy Rain (PS3)
    • The Sims (PC)
    • Railroads! (PC)
REALLY VIRTUAL
A title that happily does away with reality and offers an immersive and enjoyable experience:
    • Devil May Cry (PS2)
    • Saint's Row: The Third (PS3/Xbox360)
    • Wipeout HD (PS3)
    • Dead Rising 2 (PS3/Xbox360)
OVERBLOWN BUDGET BOLLOCKS
A title that had a huge studio, budget and the scope to deliver something sensational....but just didn't:
    • Resident Evil 5 (PS3/Xbox360)
    • Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3/Xbox360/PC)
    • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3/Xbox360)

A title which was either found in a bargain bin or on offer but still offers hours of enjoyment:

    • Bloons: Tower Defence (DS/PC) - Free Online/£4.50 on DS
    • Costume Quest (PSN/XBLA) - Free for PS Plus/£5.00
